Starring Chen Shilony, Ruben Crow and Dave Powell, with Peter Cadwell and Robert Stone.

The idea for this highly original, black comedy was conceived in LA in 2007 as a backlash to the hundreds of Britflicks which fail in the USA. It was written in just three months by Richard Harrison and Laurie Crowter and actually went into production in under seven months of the final draft.

The Crew: Director of Photography – Phil Wood, Focus Puller – Marcus Petre, Camera Assistant – Michelle Abron, Make-up – Jenna Wrage, Stylist – Laura Fantacci, Props – Jo Thornhill, Set design – Sacha French, Location Manager – Phil Crowter, Location Photographer – Nathalie Fixon, Music Supervisor – David Hockley. Film Editor – Will Ward-Lewis, original music by Symon James, Dave Hockley, Guy Katsav, Marc Purnell, Anthony Saffery and Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Steve Smith from Dirty Vegas.

The film was shot on location around Boca do Rio and Praia de Bordeira on the west coast of Portugal, and in the beautiful countryside surrounding Ronda and Gaucin in Andalucia, Spain in August 2008. The stunning Flamenco scene was shot at Anna Maria’s, in Marbella old town.

The lead role of British banker, Darryl Maddock was cast from over 1000 applications world wide, and the lead female role of femme fatale, Janine was won by Chen Shilony, who was found by accident on youtube. The supporting role of Australian hitman, Rik Le Salles was also won by Dave Powell after extensive auditions in London.

The film was shot in 23 days and in 16 different locations, often in temperatures of up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The part of the farmer, Antonio was played by local builder Antonio and the one hundred year old horse and cart was rented from a stable under Ronda’s famous bridge. The bar where Darryl meets Rik was found by accident just 24 hours before it was filmed and the bar owner, Sentana actually plays himself.
The Flamenco bar, Ana Maria’s is famous in Marbella and Andalucia for having some of the best and most authentic Flamenco in Spain. The scene where Janine dances Flamenco was improvised and shot in one and a half hours.

UNSTOPPABLE is due for completion in 2010 and will tour the world in as many international film festivals as possible, before securing an international cinema release.
